I am a Level 3 Mental Health Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and I work with adults and young people aged 15+. I have extensive experience working with ADHD and Autism and I am passionate about helping newly diagnosed or self-identifying clients understand, explore and integrate their neurodivergent identity through an affirming lens. I also enjoy working with culturally diverse clients due to my own multicultural upbringing and lived experience. I always aims to create a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, inclusive and culturally-informed space for all my clients. If you’re looking to explore life’s challenges through a self-development lens, we might be a great fit. As a counsellor, my focus is on understanding your unique experiences and supporting your growth, whether or not a formal diagnosis is part of your journey. I believe that meaningful change can happen through connection, self-awareness, and building strategies that align with your goals — creating a space where you can feel heard, supported, and free to be yourself. Therapeutically, I tailor and adopt an eclectic approach in my sessions to help clients improve self-compassion and self-understanding for a better quality of life. I use a range of evidence-based modalities such as Positive Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as emotional and physical regulation strategies. In my spare time, I enjoy doing pilates and Muay Thai, and spending time with family and friends. You’ll often also find me curled up with my cat ‘Juice’, with a medical drama in the background.

Anita Narayan

Counsellor
To transform my physical appearance from dress size 20 to 8, required me to undertake personal training sessions and participate in intensive weight training, yoga/pilates, cross-fit and boot camps and prepare healthy meals. My transformation motivated me to become a trainer and help others. I joined Fitness First in 2005 as a personal trainer. To develop my personal and professional growth, I attended several internal and external educational training workshops and undertook further studies at university that provided me with another perspective about living a healthier lifestyle. Holistic counselling approach – my counselling adopts a holistic and scientific, person-centred approach to interventions through the integration of mental health and wellness (mind, body and soul). My aim is to provide clients with the education and skills to prevent mental health, sickness and live a disease-free life. Included in their programs are, hormonal balancing therapy (which includes quality intake of macronutrients), water intake, stretching and flexibility, yoga and pilates exercises, improving sleep pattern techniques, therapeutic mindfulness, deep breathing, and meditation. Having studied scientific evidence-based theories about human cognition, emotion and behaviours I gained a head start to passionately support, motivate, empower and transform my clients from a holistic perspective. Clinical counselling – I have the ability to competently design and implement strategies and techniques to assist clients to understand how they may be able to manage their mental health concerns including anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, substance related disorders and relationship issues. Strategies include, challenging self-limiting belief, building self-efficacy, having high regard for your self-love, self-worth, self-care, self-respect and relationship exploration of self-discovery. Theoretical models – I am skilled in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focussed approach, positive psychology, attachment theory (using the Grow and Smart models), person-centred approach, interpersonal counselling, mindfulness-based intervention and narrative therapy. Coaching/Physical training – I have the capacity to competently draw on training principles to motivate, explore and identify new pathways to assist clients achieve their goals. Through participation in exercise activities, clients benefit from the physiological responses to physical activity and the positive therapeutic effects of exposure therapy, distraction therapy as well as experiencing increased self-efficacy through mastery. Changing physical appearance – involves specifically, coaching and guiding clients in developing skills to take pride in their appearance, to raise their capacity to be confident and outstanding high value men and women in the workplace and life generally. Diversity of clients – I have worked with clients from various social and cultural backgrounds, including clients with disabilities. I have experience dealing with the NDIS, as well as Christian clients. Favourite quote – bringing sexy back “you being uncomfortable is a sign of your transformation”. Transformation is a journey, and I am happy to support you manifesting your dream body and life – to be the best and the highest version of yourself.

Ātman Integration operates as a universal, non-sectarian, non-discriminatory practice that honours the diversity of people’s beliefs, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, ability, socioeconomic status, and all other facets that contribute to individual identity and experience. The term “Ātman” embodies the essence of the true self or soul, often depicted as eternal and unchangeable. Therefore, the ultimate goal of Ātman Integration is to facilitate the realisation of the Ātman state within oneself, encouraging individuals to embody this concept at an experiential level rather than treating it merely as an intellectual or philosophical notion. Ātman Integration embraces individuals for who they are, offering a secure environment for self-exploration and encouraging mindfulness and self-acceptance in every moment. The aim is to nurture the art of living, not just surviving.

Welcome! Counselling with me is a space centred around your unique journey, where your experiences, culture, and values are welcome and honoured. My approach is grounded in being client-centred, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and fully affirming of neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ identities. With a background in youth addiction counselling in the public sector, I bring a dual-diagnosis perspective to our work together. This means we address both substance use and underlying mental health factors, recognising how life stressors, mental health needs, and the systems around you connect to impact your overall well-being. My approach allows us to consider all aspects of your life, whether they relate to: - Mental health and well-being - Personal relationships - Cultural background(s) and identities - Important life factors and experiences - Generational trauma and experiences Inclusivity and Cultural Sensitivity: My practice is inclusive, with extensive experience working with culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) communities, including refugees, asylum seekers, and those who identify as BIPOC, bicultural, or third-cultured. Having grown up in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia), Qatar, the UAE, and Lebanon, I understand the complexities of navigating multiple cultural identities and have developed a personal and knowledgeable understanding for clients with ties to SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) and MENA (Middle East North Africa) regions. From my work with the LGBTQIA+ community in Lebanon, as well as with survivors of war and those who have lost loved ones to its impacts, I’ve come to value the resilience and strength of navigating identity, safety, and belonging amid challenging cultural landscapes. These experiences shape my practice, allowing me to offer support that is trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and sensitive to the unique layers of each person’s journey. What We Can Explore Together: Our work can cover a broad range of topics, always with respect for your individual needs and life context. Areas we might explore together include: - Past, complex, or ongoing trauma and trust - Cross-cultural identity(ies) and/or relationships - Ancestral roots and connection (if meaningful to you) - Addiction and how it is interconnected to other parts of your life - Systems of oppression (both micro and macro) and/or discrimination that may have, or continue to, impact you Using decolonial and depathologising approaches, I work with a variety of therapeutic tools to meet your unique preferences and needs, including: - Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - Inner child work - Motivational interviewing (MI) - Parts exploration - Somatic approaches (possibly including your cultural/traditional dances, songs, and other somatic healing rituals) - Art therapy - Decolonial therapy which may include exploring/incorporating your cultural, spiritual, personal, generational, traditional, and healing rituals. Bringing a Personal Touch My cat is a gentle (mostly), curious presence and might make an appearance during sessions. If it helps you feel more comfortable, you’re more than welcome to bring your pet into our space too. Outside of our sessions, I’m a third-cultured, neurodivergent music lover—especially metal—and enjoy gaming, dancing, hiking, and travelling. Sharing music, games, or other interests can definitely be part of our sessions if that resonates with you. If you’re ready to start this journey, please reach out. It would be an honor to support you in finding healing and growth on your path.

Bryan McDade

Counsellor

Camden, New South Wales, 2570
As a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in law enforcement and education, I bring knowledge and expertise to my current role as a counsellor. I am deeply committed to the principles of harm reduction and strongly believe in the importance of providing support to individuals and families who struggle with substance misuse. My mission is to empower individuals within the community by providing education programs that equip them with the tools they need to cope with the challenges they face. As a Counsellor and educator, I am passionate about positively impacting the lives of those around me. I know first-hand how hard this can be as my brother is alcohol dependent; no matter how bad it gets, I will still stay connected and support him during his recovery. I know first-hand that substance misuse does not discriminate. It impacts many families, with alcohol still being the number one substance of misuse.
