Hi, I'm Dr Rebecca Luong, the Cardiometabolic Dietitian, an Accredited Practising Dietitian, and Accredited Sports Dietitian. I love food and have always been fascinated by its power with an unwavering curiosity about its science. Whilst studying food science, I worked as a medical receptionist at a clinic. It was here that I saw firsthand the importance of taking care of our bodies and the incredible opportunity to help individuals along their health journey. This inspired me to pursue a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics to combine my love of food with my passion for health. I immediately began helping clients improve their health, and also worked in various areas of dietetics including clinical dietetics, community health, nutrition research, supermarket nutrition, and academia, to gain a better understanding of how it all comes together to provide the best practical and personalised nutrition solutions. Through my work, I have seen a concerning rise in cardiometabolic conditions that often present together and impact individuals' day-to-day lives including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, abdominal adiposity, insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, ultimately leading to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, the related condition of fatty liver, and shortened healthy life expectancy. Determined to make a difference and translate science to the highest quality evidence-based nutrition advice, I recently pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Cardiometabolic Health. I have learned that when implemented correctly you can start seeing changes in as little as 2-4 weeks. I am committed to help you improve your cardiometabolic health, manage and prevent heart and metabolic conditions for longevity. By empowering you with the best nutrition knowledge, skills, resources and personalised advice to your needs, you can take charge of your health and wellbeing. Feel more confident, more in control, and ready to take on the world. You can achieve anything you set your mind to. Let’s work together for heart healthy, energised living!

Before joining the Dietwise team, I worked in Community Paediatrics with a focus on fussy eating and infant and children’s nutrition. My work in private practice and hospitals has involved supporting people living with diabetes, chronic disease, gut issues, cancer, and more. I am passionate about helping others have a positive relationship with food and their bodies, which is why I practice Health At Every Size (HAES®) and use the Non-Diet Approach in my work. I also have a strong interest in disordered eating, eating disorders, the Low FODMAP Diet for IBS and women’s nutrition such as fertility, PCOS, endometriosis and pregnancy. Growing up on a farm, I’ve always loved the connection to nature and the land, with food and joyful movement being at the centre of this. I love what I do and am excited to work alongside you to help you achieve your nutrition goals and in a way that works for you.

I had worked at Flinders Medical Centre for 3 years within the Flinders paediatric Eating Disorder Service (FpEDS) as well as the State-wide Eating Disorder Service (SEDS) providing care to paediatric, adolescent and adult clients. I support people with behaviour change that helps them re-connect with food, eating and their body in the face of the distress that food can cause. As an Accredited Practising Dietitian I can critique nutrition research to guide my clients into lifestyle changes that help improve their eating behaviours for life, using a suite of counselling skills that foster a positive relationship with food. I work collaboratively with my clients to build confidence in eating, push them to experience eating a diverse range of foods, help them to cope with food-related distress and reconnect them with their body's natural appetite cues. I help adults and adolescents with eating disorder recovery and mental health nutrition. My passion for supporting those who live with an eating disorder to address their food and body-related distress has guided me into significant professional development in this field. I work collaboratively with clients through talking therapies and medical nutrition therapy that can engage clients in nutritional rehabilitation, assist in restoring regular eating behaviours and challenges their body image concerns. My clinic runs on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and alternate Saturdays in Torrensville (in Adelaide's inner-city western suburbs) and online via telehealth (options include telephone and video) where I offer individual, face-to-face consultations. Hey, I’m Eryn! Growing up in a family that includes a nurse, an occupational therapist and a couple of physiotherapists who are very passionate about their jobs, I had no choice but to pursue a career in health. Along with my love of food, I decided it would be a great idea to do something that combines both- health and nutrition. One day after a tunnel of university studies, I woke up as an Accredited Practising Dietitian and I haven’t looked back, embracing every opportunity. I feel extremely lucky, as I absolutely love what I do. I have worked for several health services including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Bunbury Regional Hospital. I then became a bit tired of our fine, gorgeous, predictable weather here in Perth and decided to change my scenery by moving to British Columbia, Canada to gain international experience. Between my weekends exploring the island of Victoria or venturing to the mainland to hike in the summer and snowboarding in the winter, I worked for Island Health. This involved covering various inpatient and outpatient areas at Victoria General Hospital, Royal Jubilee Hospital and Cowichan District Hospital. I have gained a wide range of experience in the areas of mental health, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, and heart health. I’ve enjoyed various aspects of all my prior work but particularly loved working as part of the multidisciplinary team at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital treating all patients admitted with an eating disorder. This is where my special interest in disordered eating and eating disorders began and this special interest continued to flourish when I worked in mental health in Canada. After returning from overseas, I joined my amazing team at Dietwise. I feel so grateful to get to continue working in my area of interest, whilst taking the time to get to know my patients and the journeys that have led them to Dietwise. I have been described as calm and serene and together with my pal Eddie we create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment. I feel extremely lucky, as I absolutely love what I do. When I am not at work, you will likely find me at the beach or camping with my partner and of course Eddie.

The primary therapeutic frameworks that Jessica uses are Health at Every Size (HAES), Intuitive Eating or Non-Dieting principles. Along with such frameworks, Jessica deftly incorporates techniques like mindful eating and motivational interviewing into her practice. Since beginning her career in 2007, Jessica has gained a wide variety of experience across a broad range of clinical settings, including individual nutrition counselling, day programs, group therapy (body image and nutrition education), and program development. Hello, I’m Cindy an Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 20 years of clinical experience and a deep passion for women’s health. I’m here to guide you through your perimenopause and menopause journey. Are you in your 40s or 50s and noticing gradual weight gain and stubborn belly fat? Do you often feel drained, overheated, emotional, or just not like yourself? The hormonal shifts during perimenopause can affect everything from your sleep and mood to your risk for serious conditions like heart disease, diabetes and bone loss. You don’t have to face this alone. Together, we can reclaim your physical and emotional well-being. Join my Perimenopause and Menopause Group program, where over four engaging sessions, we’ll work on getting you back to your best self. Session 1: Dive into the details of hormonal changes and their effects, from blood pressure and insulin resistance to cholesterol and bone health. We’ll also tackle symptoms like weight gain, hot flushes, night sweats, sleep issues, mood swings, and forgetfulness. Our goal? To find practical ways to ease these symptoms. Session 2: Discover how to meet your perimenopause and menopause nutrition needs. We’ll explore how to boost your energy, maintain a healthy weight, and embrace a positive relationship with food. Session 3: Maximise your time and efforts with strategies for meal planning and dining out. We’ll decode food labels and nutrition panels and learn how to make smart choices without the guesswork. Session 4: Tackle emotional eating head-on. We’ll uncover why we eat for reasons beyond hunger—like stress, fatigue, or boredom—and how to turn those patterns around. Learn to manage cravings, break free from the diet cycle, and enjoy food mindfully while tuning into your body’s hunger signals. Our Perimenopause and Menopause Groups offer a supportive space to connect with women who are navigating this life stage. With a maximum of 5 participants per group and a confidentiality agreement, you’ll find a welcoming and secure environment. If a group setting isn’t your style, I also offer personalised consultations to craft a plan tailored just for you. Ready to start your journey? Let’s work together to rediscover your vitality and well-being! Please contact Cindy on 0493 108 940 if you would like to book in for the Perimenopause and Menopause group sessions/program. Check with your private health fund as some offer rebates for group dietitian consultations. Cindy also specialises in a non-diet approach to concerns with weight/your relationship with food. Are you tired of dieting? Are there lots of rules and restrictions about what you can and can’t eat? Do you label food as good or bad and feel guilty if you eat one that’s labelled as unhealthy? Do you find yourself eating for reasons other than hunger such as boredom, stress, anxiety, fatigue or mood (unhappy or happy)? Do you wish you could just enjoy a meal and not think about how many calories/kilojoules/energy are in it or how long you will need to exercise to burn it off? Would you like to enjoy food, stop dieting, feel healthier and be supported to achieve realistic and sustainable lifestyle goals? If you have answered YES to any of the above questions, Cindy will support you to achieve your food and lifestyle nutrition goals. Cindy is a foodie who enjoys cooking, experimenting with recipes and sharing meals with her friends and family. She also loves body boarding with her kids at the beach and playing driveway cricket and basketball with her family. Rebates for Private Health Funds (pending your level of cover) and Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans are available.
