Eryn Richards

Dietitian

Hey, I’m Eryn! Growing up in a family that includes a nurse, an occupational therapist and a couple of physiotherapists who are very passionate about their jobs, I had no choice but to pursue a career in health. Along with my love of food, I decided it would be a great idea to do something that combines both- health and nutrition. One day after a tunnel of university studies, I woke up as an Accredited Practising Dietitian and I haven’t looked back, embracing every opportunity. I feel extremely lucky, as I absolutely love what I do. I have worked for several health services including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Bunbury Regional Hospital. I then became a bit tired of our fine, gorgeous, predictable weather here in Perth and decided to change my scenery by moving to British Columbia, Canada to gain international experience. Between my weekends exploring the island of Victoria or venturing to the mainland to hike in the summer and snowboarding in the winter, I worked for Island Health. This involved covering various inpatient and outpatient areas at Victoria General Hospital, Royal Jubilee Hospital and Cowichan District Hospital. I have gained a wide range of experience in the areas of mental health, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, and heart health. I’ve enjoyed various aspects of all my prior work but particularly loved working as part of the multidisciplinary team at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital treating all patients admitted with an eating disorder. This is where my special interest in disordered eating and eating disorders began and this special interest continued to flourish when I worked in mental health in Canada. After returning from overseas, I joined my amazing team at Dietwise. I feel so grateful to get to continue working in my area of interest, whilst taking the time to get to know my patients and the journeys that have led them to Dietwise. I have been described as calm and serene and together with my pal Eddie we create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment. I feel extremely lucky, as I absolutely love what I do. When I am not at work, you will likely find me at the beach or camping with my partner and of course Eddie.

Gracie Hartley(She/her/hers)

Dietitian

Hi, I’m Gracie. I’m an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a deep passion for helping people build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food. My interest in nutrition began at 16 when I was diagnosed with coeliac disease. Navigating my own health at a young age sparked a curiosity about nutrition and wellbeing. Later, working in the fitness industry as a group fitness trainer strengthened this passion and helped me appreciate the importance of fuelling our bodies for energy, performance and everyday life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person‑centred. At Dietwise, I practice through a weight‑neutral, trauma‑informed lens and strive to create a safe, non‑judgemental space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies, rebuild trust in their internal cues, and find a way of eating that feels supportive, flexible, and enjoyable. I understand that food and eating can feel overwhelming for some people, and I aim to simplify it in a way that feels safe, grounding and empowering. I bring empathy, curiosity, and a gentle, supportive style to every session. I value connection, balance, and meeting clients exactly where they are, honouring their lived experiences, strengths, and goals. I have experience across eating disorders, mental health, gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes, and heart health. I have a special interest in coeliac disease (with lived experience), gut health, eating disorders, women’s health (including PCOS, endometriosis, fertility and pregnancy), and supporting active individuals with their fuelling needs. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me cooking, at the gym, or exploring new cafés and restaurants. I’m a big foodie at heart — especially when it comes to a weekend açai bowl.

Maureen Byrne(She/her/hers)

Dietitian

I’m an Irish-trained dietitian now calling Australia home. For me, food represents more than nourishment- it is connection and community shaped by my early experiences in a family of food producers. It sparked my passion for health, and how food shapes it, and set me on a path of endless curiosity about nutrition, health and wellbeing. That curiosity led me to Ulster University, where I graduated with First Class Honours in Dietetics. During my studies, I explored my passion for biology, biochemistry, and clinical nutrition, and my clinical placements gave me hands-on experience across paediatrics, acute wards, and community settings. After graduation, I worked as an acute dietitian across a variety of areas — from nutritional support across the lifespan, and enteral feeding, to swallowing issues, rehabilitation, and chronic disease management. Every day was different – and I loved it! This experience built a strong foundation of clinical skills and experience. I love helping clients explore their relationship with food in a way that feels safe, supportive, and sustainable. My approach is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in both science and compassion. One motto I live by is focusing on what we can control, rather than what we can’t — it’s amazing how freeing that perspective can be. I’m especially passionate about helping clients navigate complex relationships with food, from sensory sensitivities to chronic conditions and life transitions. My goal is to create a safe and collaborative space where change feels achievable, practical, flexible and not overwhelming. At Dietwise, I practise using a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming and harm-minimisation approach. I work from a weight-neutral, Health at Every Size® (HAES-aligned) lens, focusing on optimising nutrition to support all aspects of health rather than rigid weight-centric care. In addition, a central focus of my practice is supporting children, adolescents and adults experiencing picky or fussy eating, and ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). I take a structured but gentle approach that prioritises felt safety, food preferences, sensory needs, nervous system regulation and autonomy. I also work with digestive health concerns including IBS (with FODMAP support where appropriate), coeliac disease, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea and food intolerances. My focus is on improving symptoms while maintaining nutritional adequacy and avoiding unnecessary restriction. I support individuals managing metabolic and chronic conditions such as hypercholesterolaemia, MAFLD, hypertension, impaired glucose tolerance, insulin resistance and Type 2 diabetes. Women’s health is another area of interest, including PCOS, endometriosis, fertility, pregnancy and menopause. I provide evidence-based nutrition support that acknowledges hormonal complexity while remaining sensitive to body image concerns. For clients using GLP-1 weight loss medications, I provide structured nutrition guidance to support adequate protein and micronutrient intake, minimise gastrointestinal side effects and preserve lean muscle mass. I also assist with underweight and malnutrition, iron and other micronutrient deficiencies, oral nutrition supplementation and PEG feeding. -------Work days: Mon-Fri-------

Mrs Rebecca Mansillas(She/her/hers)

Dietitian

Hi, I’m Beck, an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist with a genuine passion for food and the way it connects people, families and cultures. I came to dietetics via a slightly unconventional path. I first studied Anthropology—the study of cultures (think Indiana Jones, but with far fewer snakes)—where I developed a strong interest in food systems, including agriculture, environment, and the social and cultural influences that shape how and why we eat. Alongside this, I worked in the hospitality industry, managing high-end restaurants and immersing myself in diverse and creative food experiences. Over time, and particularly as I started my own family, my interest evolved into a deeper appreciation of how food nourishes the body, supports health, and plays a vital role across the lifespan. I was also inspired by my family—my mother, an older adult nurse, and my father, a plant geneticist—both of whom dedicated their careers to improving health and nutrition in different ways. Bringing together these influences felt like a natural progression, leading me to pursue a career in dietetics where I could combine science, culture and care in my work with clients. I believe food is never just food—it carries meaning, culture, identity and connection. While English may be the primary language in my home (with a nod to my husband’s Spanish heritage—hola!), I often say I’m fluent in food. With a background in food anthropology and restaurant management, I bring a deep appreciation for cuisines from across the globe and the unique role they play in people’s lives. I value how food traditions, preferences and experiences shape each person’s relationship with eating—and I aim to honour that in the way I work. My clinical experience has been primarily within general practice (GP) clinics, where I have supported clients across a broad range of presentations, including weight concerns, disordered eating, eating disorders, and malnutrition. I have a particular interest in diabetes management (Type 1 and Type 2), as well as women’s health, including PCOS, insulin resistance, and gestational diabetes, and I am passionate about providing practical, individualised support in these areas. I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan, from paediatrics and adolescents through to midlife and older adults, tailoring care to each stage of life. I practice from a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming and harm-minimisation framework, using a weight-neutral, Health at Every Size® (HAES®)-aligned lens. My approach focuses on supporting optimal nutrition to enhance all aspects of health and well-being—not just food intake alone. In my work at Dietwise, I bring a kind, compassionate and patient-centred ethos to each session. I take a practical and supportive approach, where food is just food—without moral judgement—creating a space that feels safe, respectful and collaborative. I am deeply passionate about helping people build a more positive, sustainable relationship with food and their bodies. I draw on Non-Diet principles to guide care that is individualised and responsive to your unique needs and experiences. I genuinely value the work I do and look forward to working alongside you to support your nutrition goals in a way that feels achievable and right for you. Outside of work, I keep myself busy raising 3 very active children (my eldest an AuADHDer), pursuing my own fitness goals, cooking all manner of delicious foods, listening to true crime podcasts and trying not to over-water my cacti!
