Dr Craig Hookham is a Western Australian medical practitioner, GP and urgent care physician with a special focus in advanced doctor-led aesthetic medicine at TruSkin Hub in Eaton, WA.
Dr Craig is not a product-led cosmetic provider. His work is built around medical assessment, anatomy, procedural judgement and careful treatment sequencing. Patients see him when they want more than a standard cosmetic appointment - they want a doctor to assess the face, neck, skin and body as a whole, explain what is realistically possible, and create a clear plan.
He graduated with honours in Medicine and holds Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, along with a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. His ongoing work across general practice, urgent care and procedural medicine gives him a strong foundation in clinical decision-making, medical risk assessment, anatomy, consent, safety and patient care.
At TruSkin, Dr Craig’s focus is advanced facial and body planning for patients who want natural, considered results and a higher level of medical oversight. His work includes full-face assessment, facial movement planning, facial restoration, lip and smile balance, thread-based lifting, CO₂ resurfacing, collagen-supportive skin-quality treatment, body tightening and contour planning, and advanced face and neck assessment for jowls, jawline softening, under-chin fullness, neck laxity and post-weight-loss change.
His signature Dr Craig Re:Form™ approach is designed for patients who need more than isolated treatments. It assesses the face, neck, skin and body as connected structures: skin quality, tissue laxity, fat or fullness, facial support, volume shift, movement, surface texture, previous treatment history, weight change and long-term ageing pattern.
For suitable patients, a Re:Form™ plan may involve one or more stages:
Tighten. Contour. Lift. Restore. Resurface.
Tighten and Contour may involve doctor-performed internal radiofrequency-assisted treatment using TruSkin’s advanced IgniteRF platform, including technologies such as FaceTite, BodyTite, AccuTite and QuantumRF where appropriate. This is designed for selected patients requiring deeper tissue tightening and contour planning than surface-only treatments. Some options may involve local anaesthetic, small entry points, sterile preparation, internal tissue treatment, swelling, bruising, tenderness, aftercare and recovery time.
Lift refers to thread-based lifting where clinically appropriate.
Restore refers to Re:Frame™, Dr Craig’s facial restoration approach planned by anatomical region and clinical need rather than by patients choosing product volume.
Resurface refers to Re:Surface™ Correct, his CO₂ skin-finish pathway for texture, pores, lines, scarring, crepey skin and surface quality where appropriate.
A major part of Dr Craig’s work is helping patients who feel they may need more than standard cosmetic treatment, but are not ready for facelift, neck-lift, eyelid, under-chin or body-contour surgery. Re:Form™ treatments are not surgery and do not remove excess skin, but they may offer suitable patients an advanced in-clinic pathway before surgery becomes the next conversation. Where surgery, specialist referral or no treatment is the better option, Dr Craig discusses this openly.
Dr Craig has undertaken advanced aesthetic training in Australia and internationally, including UK-based training with Professor Bob Khanna, a highly regarded and internationally recognised facial aesthetics practitioner and trainer. This training has further shaped Dr Craig’s approach to full-face assessment, thread-based lifting, non-surgical facelift concepts, facial restoration and staged treatment planning.
Dr Craig also brings personal insight to weight-change medicine and aesthetics. Having experienced major weight loss himself, he understands how weight change can affect the face, neck, skin, hair and body - not just medically, but practically and emotionally. His Re:Shape™ pathway was developed for patients losing weight, planning weight loss, or experiencing facial hollowing, jawline change, skin laxity, body laxity, hair changes or skin-quality concerns after significant weight change, including post-bariatric change.
Re:Shape™ brings together Dr Craig’s medical aesthetic planning with Caris’ dermal therapy and skin-health support, Cahleen’s skin, hair, home-care and nutrition-support role, and Grace’s coordination. The aim is to provide a structured, supported journey - from weight-change planning and collagen support through to skin preparation, wellness support, tightening, contouring, restoration and maintenance where appropriate.
Dr Craig’s philosophy is simple: diagnose before treating, plan before performing, and treat in the right sequence. His approach is anatomical, measured and staged, with an emphasis on natural balance, tissue integrity, realistic expectations, patient safety and long-term skin health.
