Mark is a highly compassionate, warm, approachable, professional Psychologist committed to providing a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their strengths, needs, issues, concerns, and circumstances.
Mark is committed to treating his clients with respect, care, and compassion. His clinical skills are honed through years of experience treating people from diverse backgrounds and abilities, with a wide range of presenting issues across the lifespan. As well as his particular interest in working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and men’s mental health, I enjoy working with people from all walks of life with different issues and presentations including women of varying ages and life stages, adolescents, children, and couples. I also enjoy engaging with parents and children in child and parenting/family work. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Mark worked for many years as a lawyer and counsellor in Sydney; supporting and assisting clients with significant emotional issues as a result of being victims of domestic violence, relationship breakdown, personal trauma, and institutional abuse.
As a psychologist, Mark has had clinical experience with a wide range of presentations and issues for clients from diverse backgrounds with diverse abilities across the lifespan, using a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Shadow Work. In addition to working with NDIS, Mental Health Care Plans, Employee Assistance Programs, Work Cover claims, and private clients, Mark writes comprehensive NDIS functional capacity reports, provides DSM-5-TR diagnoses and treatment plans, provides support and psychoeducation for clients who are on bail, and compiles and provide training for Behavioural Support Plans.
