Mr Andrew Saville

Exercise Physiologist

Andrew graduated from The University of Newcastle with a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology. Andrew is passionate about exercise and assisting all people reach their fitness or rehabilitation goals. He is interested in the management of a broad range chronic conditions including musculoskeletal, pulmonary and metabolic. He also has previous experience in the NDIS industry, assisting in improving the physical and mental health of people living with a disability. Outside of work he enjoys staying active playing cricket for Charlestown and basketball and oztag with friends or going to the gym. Andrew also enjoys going to the beach or spending time with his friends.

Mr Chris Goward

Exercise Physiologist

Chris is an experienced Exercise Physiologist, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Charles Sturt University. He is passionate about all sports and has participated in both cricket and soccer from a young age, earning several representative honours. Chris has an extensive personal history in performance environments, as well as vast experience working within the NSW work cover compensation scheme and manual handling environments. Using this experience, Chris is passionate about helping people return to doing what they love. When not training himself, you can find Chris enjoying the company of friends, paddle boarding and fishing around Newcastle.

Mr Joseph Smith

Exercise Physiologist

Joe graduated from the University of New England in 2021 with a Bachelors degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology. He is passionate about all things sport, and has played in cricket and soccer teams from a young age, whilst also dabbling in a range of other sports having grown up in country NSW. Joe has a passion for working with clients with musculoskeletal conditions and neurological disorders, with the goal of returning his clients to doing what they love. Over the course of his time at Hunter Rehabilitation and Health, Joe has developed experience in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme and the NDIS. Outside of work, Joe leads an active lifestyle, continuing to play sport and regularly exercising.

Mr Josh Kessler

Exercise Physiologist

Josh is a senior Exercise Physiologist who completed his Master's degree at Australian Catholic University in Strathfield. Josh has worked with a variety of private and hospital facilities alongside some of Newcastle's most respected GP's. Experienced in a vast range of conditions, he is happy to work alongside anyone who walks through the front door. Josh's favorite thing about being an EP is being able to return his clients to their desired activities of daily living.

Mark is a passionate Exercise Physiologist who graduated from the University of New England. Mark loves helping people overcome their barriers and get back to doing what that love. He is passionate about helping people recover from sporting injuries and getting them back to playing the sport they love. He also has experience in helping people with neurological conditions to maintain and improve their level of function, so they are still able to enjoy life the best they can. Mark is a firm believer that the injury or condition doesn’t make the person and he likes to get to know his clients and ensure that their rehabilitation experience is as enjoyable and interesting as possible. Outside of work Mark enjoys fishing or playing with his dog. Mark is a mad AFL fan but enjoys watching or playing most sports.

Sam is an experienced Exercise Physiologist that brings his incredible clinical knowledge and caring nature to Hunter Rehab and Health. He is extremely passionate about empowering his clients to take control of their own future. Sam has worked with a variety of clients with musculoskeletal injuries and has a special interest in sporting performance. He draws on this experience with all of his clients in order to give them the best possible outcomes in injury prevention and rehabilitation. While Sam is more than happy to treat any area you may be having problems with, his specialty areas include upper body shoulder injuries, lower limb knee injuries, and muscular strains such as quadriceps and hamstrings. Outside of work, Sam loves Mountain Biking and races competitively on weekends. He also loves the Newcastle Knights, Formula 1 and fishing.

Tom is a passionate Exercise Physiologist who graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst. He has a wealth of experience with treatment of clients across a broad range of chronic conditions and believes exercise truly is the best medicine! Nothing brings more joy to Tom than seeing his clients develop a positive relationship with exercise and getting the best outcomes from their treatment so as to remain healthy long into the future. Tom loves a chat and getting to know clients is one of his best attributes, as well as making exercise a fun and enjoyable experience. Outside of work, Tom plays soccer, touch footy, Oztag and cricket, as well as enjoying anything to do with the ocean, with a great passion for ocean conservation.
