Ātman Integration operates as a universal, non-sectarian, non-discriminatory practice that honours the diversity of people’s beliefs, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, ability, socioeconomic status, and all other facets that contribute to individual identity and experience. The term “Ātman” embodies the essence of the true self or soul, often depicted as eternal and unchangeable. Therefore, the ultimate goal of Ātman Integration is to facilitate the realisation of the Ātman state within oneself, encouraging individuals to embody this concept at an experiential level rather than treating it merely as an intellectual or philosophical notion. Ātman Integration embraces individuals for who they are, offering a secure environment for self-exploration and encouraging mindfulness and self-acceptance in every moment. The aim is to nurture the art of living, not just surviving.

Rima Alkadamani – or Mimi, as many know me – and after two decades working as a caseworker and project officer within government and non-profit organisations, I felt it was time for something different. I wanted to move beyond the limitations of bureaucracy and create a space where care feels more personal, more connected, and more human. Mimicares was born from that vision. I have finally found my place where I can help individuals and families feel seen, supported, and empowered. I was first drawn to counselling and therapy because of a chance encounter with an inspiring lecturer who saw something in me that I hadn’t yet recognised. Through kindness, empathy, and compassion, I have embraced my role in helping people navigate their own challenges, fostering hope and resilience in their lives. I have always envisioned a practice where I could now offer individualised care – one that priorities compassion, connection, and meaningful support. That vision has now become Mimicares, a space dedicated to helping individuals and families on their journey toward healing and growth. I hold a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and a Bachelor of Health Science (Behavioural and Social Sciences), along with further training in: Play therapy - Child Centred Play Therapist, I use CCPT to support children in expressing and processing emotions through self directed play. In a safe, accepting space, I follow the child's lead, building trust and fostering emotional growth without directing their play. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Autism and neurodiversity in the classroom Understanding traumatic brain injury Domestic violence awareness Nationally recognised Domestic and Family Violence Response Mentoring and guidance training Therapy focus areas: Anxiety Depression Stress Behavioural Issues General life challenges Trauma Learning difficulties Chronic health

I am a registered counsellor. I have been working with adolescents, young adults and adults for over ten years. I consider the role of counsellor to be a privilege. Humour is the biggest strength I bring to the counselling space. I am particularly interested in Men’s mental health and strive to create a safe space for open discussions around feelings, emotions and challenges that men face. The quality of our working relationship has a significant impact on the counselling process. We will work collaboratively to help increase your self-awareness of your relationship with yourself and others and explore any obstacles preventing you from living your best life by helping you develop the skills to achieve it. Although various counselling modalities exist, I will use a combination of approaches, including person-centred (client-led), solution-focused, and CBT. At times you may laugh with me, and more often than not, you will laugh at me…but it’s all part of the fun. In my downtime, I enjoy a hike in the middle of nowhere, my martial arts class, and drawing if I am not doing some woodwork or learning about the latest tech gadgets.
