Registered Psychologist PSY0002606499 I’m a registered psychologist who works alongside children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate the complexities of growing up. I bring a warm, down-to-earth approach shaped by my diverse background in both corporate and educational settings, which has given me a strong understanding of the pressures young people and families face today. I practice from a trauma-informed and strength-based perspective, supporting my clients to build resilience, confidence, and self-awareness. I’m particularly interested in the impact of social media on mental health and have published research exploring personality traits linked to harmful online behaviours. As a mum of three, I also bring personal insight into the evolving challenges of childhood and adolescence. Areas of Support & Approach: At Youth Empowerment Psychology, I support young people experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD Level 1 & 2, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural challenges, low self-esteem, social difficulties, and school refusal. My approach is person-centred, practical, and empowering. I draw on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. Feel free to call me (Niro) on 0422799738 to have a brief discussion to see how therapy could support you or your child. www.youthempowermentpsychology.com.au
