Cayetana Arranz

Counsellor

Location: South Australia, Online. Hi, I’m Cayetana, a registered counsellor who is here to walk alongside you when you feel stuck, lost or simply trying to survive the daily grind. I understand the challenges and complexities of navigating life's difficulties which is why I believe everyone deserves to feel supported during challenging times. If you’re struggling with anxiety, navigating a difficult relationship, or have low self-esteem, or exploring relationships and sexuality I'm here to offer a safe and compassionate space to explore your experiences. My own journey with mental health, impacted by early childhood trauma, has deeply influenced my approach to counselling. This lived experience perspective allows me to connect with those who have experienced similar struggles. It fosters a sense of understanding and creates a safe space for you to explore your own story. My goal is not to impose my experiences on you, but rather to use them to create a sense of understanding empathy, allowing you to feel comfortable expressing yourself freely. I acknowledge that mental health diagnoses and neurodivergent experiences can significantly impact a person's life. I am experienced in working with individuals with conditions such as anxiety disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Additionally, I have a strong understanding of neurodiversity and can support individuals who identify as neurodivergent, including those with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyslexia and ADHD. Whether you have a mental health diagnosis or simply want to explore aspects of yourself, together we can grow a deeper understanding of yourself and build the tools you need to flourish. While I draw on evidence-based modalities like trauma-informed therapy, person-centred therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and internal family systems (IFS), I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the quality of the relationship we build together. I tailor these approaches to your unique needs, but the foundation of our work lies in creating a safe and supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood.
