Thelma Moyo is a dedicated counsellor and Social Work student (Bachelor of Social Work, Edith Cowan University, expected completion November 2026). She brings a warm, compassionate, and client-centred approach, grounded in cultural safety, inclusion, and client empowerment.
Thelma supports individuals, young people, and families seeking counselling for a range of emotional and psychosocial concerns. She offers a respectful, supportive space to explore what’s happening, build practical coping strategies, and strengthen confidence, resilience, and wellbeing.
Thelma has a particular interest in supporting young people, families, and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. She also brings valuable experience from her work in disability and mental health support services, which strengthens her ability to provide strengths-based care that recognises each person’s individual needs, capacity, and goals.
Her practice is informed by trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches. With a collaborative and empowering style, Thelma works alongside clients to identify meaningful goals and take achievable steps toward positive, sustainable change.
Thelma is fluent in English and Ndebele, and warmly welcomes clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
