Tara focuses on bringing warmth, curiosity, and openness to her practice. She is motivated to build a space that fosters authenticity, self-expression, and trust with her clients. Her practice is person-centred and relies on collaborative goal setting and treatment planning to shape sessions in ways that feel meaningful and relevant to each person. There is a strong focus on agency, choice, and control.
Tara is committed to providing affirming support for LGBTIQA+ individuals, those engaged in kink and non-monogamous relationships, sex workers, and clients seeking sexual education. Her approach celebrates diversity in all its forms. Tara has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent clients and is committed to neuroaffirming practice that honours and validates diverse ways of thinking, feeling, and relating.
Tara also brings her experience working with young people and people with disabilities, as well as experience in hospital settings supporting clients with chronic pain and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). Tara draws on evidence-based therapies to meet the specific needs of each client.
Tara has a particular interest in supporting clients to explore relationships, sexual health (including sexual pain, sexual health anxiety, desire and arousal dissatisfaction, anorgasmia, adjustment to health diagnoses, and menstrual conditions), and emotional wellbeing (including anxiety, depression, OCD, stress, and grief). She has a particular interest in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), underpinned by strong research skills in this area.
In her free time, Tara enjoys yoga, hiking, and cold plunges. You’ll often find her with her fluffy Japanese Spitz.
