Sophie has built her career around helping people of all ages find their voice and live more connected lives. She is deeply committed to culturally responsive practice, shaped by years working within Māori medium education settings in New Zealand.
A natural mentor, Sophie has supervised speech pathologists at all career stages and stepped into leadership roles throughout her career. She finds real joy in helping clinicians grow their confidence alongside supporting her clients.
Sophie brings lived experience as an autistic woman which deeply informs her neuro-affirming, person-centred approach. She incorporates child-led, play-based therapy where suitable, and places real value on supporting communication partners and collaborating across the multidisciplinary team to create meaningful impact.
Outside of work hours, you'll find Sophie climbing, hiking, skiing, doing yoga, or spending time with the people (and animals) she loves.
