Shanan works with clients ranging from those managing persistent pain through to active adults and athletes aiming to return to training and sport with confidence. He is known for a thorough, structured approach that prioritises getting things right early. His focus is on identifying the key drivers behind an issue and building clear, individualised plans that extend beyond short-term symptom relief. Treatment typically combines hands-on therapy with progressive, gym-based rehabilitation to restore movement, strength, and long-term capacity. Shanan completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master’s of Physiotherapy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. With a background in strength and conditioning and experience coaching powerlifting, he brings a strong understanding of load, performance, and the demands of returning to activity. As the founder of SANA Physiotherapy, Shanan has developed a model centred around objective assessment and progressive rehabilitation within a gym environment. His goal is to provide care that is both practical and results-focused, helping clients move well, build resilience, and return to what matters to them. Outside of the clinic, Shanan enjoys surfing, running, training in the gym, hiking the Glass House Mountains, and walking his Golden Retriever, Winston.
