Rachel Dao Psychologist

clinic location

Overview

Clinical Psychologist. My areas of focus are Relationship & Family Issues, Work Related Stress, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), neurodiversity and working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I work with adults, children, and adolescents. I accept NDIS, Workcover and TAC patients. I offer couples therapy and have participated in Certification Consultation Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, using Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my therapy work. I teach practical skills that can be used on a day-to-day basis on how to relate securely in relationships and at work, breaking the cycle of harmful patterns that present with the areas mentioned above. I understand that theory can only be useful if translated into practical realistic actions. I am dedicated to understanding patient's individualized problems with complexity and thorough research. I am skilled with complex presentations, especially patients that have a cross-section of co-occurring many diagnoses. I understand that mental health is a puzzle that sometimes needs different pieces for the same issue.
