Emma is a registered Psychologist and Clinical Registrar with experience working across the lifespan. Prior to joining Psychology 806, she worked with children, adolescents, and their families in both school and private practice settings. She has also supported older adults and their families within residential aged care facilities. She has a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
Her clinical practice is informed by Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. She draws on these evidence-based approaches to support clients in developing greater self-awareness and self-compassion.
Emma tailors interventions to meet the individual needs of each client and recognises the importance of establishing a strong therapeutic alliance. She strives to create a genuine, open, and supportive environment in which clients feel safe to explore both present and past experiences. Her work is trauma-informed and neuro-affirming, and she collaborates closely with clients to enhance insight, strengthen resilience, and build capacity to navigate future challenges.
Emma is currently available to undertake cognitive assessments, as well as comprehensive assessments for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), for both young people and adults.
