Miss Holly Pickford

Dietitian

Holly is an enthusiastic member of Optimum Intake’s Residential Aged Care team. She is focused on optimising the food, nutrition and the mealtime experience across aged care facilities, caring for both permanent residents and those temporarily placed for respite. She is a strong advocate for meals being more than simply food on a plate, she knows food can be more meaningful than just the nutritional quality alone, it can promote social connectedness, lift a person’s mood by igniting memories of years gone past and much more. Holly advises Aged Care Facilities on nutritional governance, policies and procedures in addition to educating staff and acting as a supportive voice for the consumer. Holly takes a collaborative approach with all her nutritional assessments, planning and recommendations. Ensuring that all people involved in the resident’s care (staff, food services and family) have the ability to contribute information, express ideas and issues, to form a personalised nutritional treatment plan, ongoing implementation, support and monitoring through her review process. Holly is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of Dietitians Australia. Holly graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics and joined the Optimum Intake team in 2021. She is extremely passionate about assisting clients from different backgrounds and health conditions. She is particularly interested in; diabetes, cardiovascular disease, women’s health and optimising nutrition in the elderly. Holly looks forward to building a supportive relationship with Aged Care Facilities and the local community, to achieve optimal health and wellbeing for her clients.

Dietitian

Laura enjoys working with clients to assist and guide in the dietary management of conditions such as diabetes, insulin resistance, heart disease, gut issues including IBD and IBS, food allergies and intolerances, malnutrition, and bariatric care. Laura is passionate about helping all her clients to develop a healthy relationship with food by using a Non-Diet Approach and working within the Health at Every Size paradigm to support a healthy mind and body.

Lily, a compassionate member of Optimum Intake’s Residential Aged Care team, provides considerate, respectful, and engaging nutritional care to enhance the lives of older adults in aged care facilities. Lily has a collaborative approach, building relationships based on trust and kindness with residents, families, and staff alike. She understands the importance of working closely with families to ensure that their loved ones receive the best possible care and support. Recognizing that meals are more than just food on a plate, Lily advocates for food promoting social connectedness and emotional well-being. Drawing upon her personal and professional experiences in aged care, she knows that mealtime experiences can foster a sense of belonging, joy and community. Lily ensures that residents feel valued and respected, enhancing their overall quality of life. In her role, Lily empowers residents to exercise choice and independence, encouraging them to make decisions about their own care and the delivery of services. She considers each resident's functional abilities when planning nutrition interventions, aiming to optimize their independence and well-being. Through safe and effective support services, Lily strives to enhance each resident's health and quality of life, promoting autonomy and dignity in aging. As an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and member of Dietitians Australia, Lily brings a new perspective to her role. With a background in Nutrition Science and a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from Australian Catholic University, she is committed to delivering evidence-based practices that meet the highest standards of care. Lily looks forward to building strong, supportive relationships with aged care facilities and the local community, working collaboratively to achieve optimal health and well-being for every resident.

Miss Rachel Tutill

Dietitian

Rachel Tutill is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of Dietitian’s Australia. Rachel has a special interest in the field of paediatric nutrition. She enjoys working closely with children and their families to support good health from a young age and fostering healthy feeding and eating relationships. She is aware of the many barriers of eating well, particularly for children, and can provide easy, practical strategies that fit within family lifestyles. Rachel has experience working with children with complex food histories and is able to work with children and their parents to increase food variety, assist with growth concerns, address allergies or intolerances, manage gastrointestinal issues and improve overall health outcomes. Rachel also has extensive experience working in the NDIS sector. She is able to support participants with physical, neurological and psychosocial disabilities to achieve good nutrition status and support optimal health outcomes. She has experience managing clients with complex physical needs as well as delivering practical hands on education sessions, cooking sessions or supermarket tours. She is able to personalise interventions to meet the needs of her clients to achieve their personal goals. Rachel understands the overwhelming amount of information available in the field of nutrition and is committed to ongoing study and learning to provide the best information and outcomes for her clients. Her goal is to empower her clients and make medical nutrition therapy more understandable and applicable to daily life.

Miss Sarah Willoughby

Dietitian

Sarah is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) from the University of Newcastle. She is a kind and compassionate Dietitian who is committed to providing evidence-based practice and utilises an individualised approach to support you in reaching your goals. Sarah is a member of the Clinic team and the Community Aged Care team. She is passionate about simplifying nutrition and debunking the overwhelming amount of misinformation in our world today. She is dedicated to supporting and advocating for the elderly population as she understands the positive outcomes that optimal nutrition can have on their quality of life. Sarah embraces the Health at Every Size paradigm and a Non-Diet Approach throughout her practice and enjoys supporting individuals to create a healthy relationship with food. Her key interest areas include malnutrition and chronic disease management such as diabetes. Ultimately, Sarah’s goal is to educate and empower her clients to improve their physical and emotional wellbeing through providing them with practical strategies to create long term behavior change. Sarah enjoys living an active lifestyle as she loves to mix up her weekly exercise with CrossFit and yoga. In her spare time, you will usually find Sarah reading or trying out new restaurants with her friends and family. Sarah looks forward to supporting your journey towards optimal nutrition.

Mrs Jodie Sheraton

Dietitian

Jodie Sheraton is the Director of two Private Practice clinics; the award winning Optimum Intake Dietitians and the Myrtle Oak Eating Disorder Recovery Clinic. She is a university qualified Accredited Practising Dietitians and is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with over 15yrs in the sector. Jodie leads a team of 10 eating disorder clinicians, an additional 16 dietitians and a team of 8 administration support coordinators. By combining her passion to celebrate the deliciousness, functionality and enjoyment of food, her university qualification and professional experience as an eating disorder dietitian in the public sector, she discovered the desire to create her clinics to provide client focused care and individualised therapy options for people living with an eating disorder and families supporting a someone with an eating disorder, with a philosophy aligning with the Health At Every Size (HAES), Body Acceptance and Body Positivity, evidence based therapies, Intuitive Eating and Non-Diet Approaches. With the success of both practices, Jodie has created a business, Elevated Dietetics, to support and elevate other private practice, clinic based, dietitian lead businesses to develop the business, delegation, leadership and decision making skills needed to create, grow and sustain a thriving practice. While creating harmony between work and lifestyle goals. Jodie offers 1:1 services and also a training program called Elevate your Practice and is taking new enrolments now.

Mrs Morgan Boughton

Dietitian

Morgan has three main areas of interest when supporting her clients to optimal nutrition: Women’s health, renal nutrition where she works in specialised clinics to assist clients with these conditions as well as being Optimum Intake’s Residential Aged Care Facility Team Leader. Across all three domains of nutrition, Morgan works within the inclusive Health at Every Size model and treats all patients with integrity and respect. She prioritises her client’s outcomes on physical health as well as mental and emotional wellbeing. Morgan has developed extensive knowledge and experience across multiple areas including clinic consultations, hospital setting, community aged care and residential aged care as a dietitian in managing a range of chronic and acute conditions. She enjoys assisting her clients in the nutrition management of their specific requirements and conditions, while being wildly passionate about celebrating the enjoyment, taste and satisfaction of food. Women’s Health Morgan works at Hunter Valley Specialist Clinic in East Maitland alongside Gynaecologist Dr Sneha Joshi. She provides tailored nutrition advice to assist in managing women’s health conditions such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome ( PCOS), endometriosis, weight concerns, insulin resistance, pregnancy and fertility, healthy aging to improving the nutritional intake specific to each person’s individual requirements. She provides personalised and specific advice that easy to understand and can be incorporated into her patient’s day to day lives. Morgan understands that food is an important part of our lives and works with her women’s health patients to provide an appropriate balance to manage their conditions and continue to enjoy all aspects of food. Renal Health Morgan also works at Hunter Kidney Clinic at Gateshead where she assists clients in managing Chronic Kidney Disease and other renal conditions. She understands the misleading information available regarding nutrition & kidney health and helps her patients understand how this information may be relevant to their own personal situation. She sets achievable goals and measurable goals with her patients to help them manage their kidney disease. Residential Aged Care Morgan is a proud Team Leader for Residential Aged Care Facilities within Optimum Intake. She visits facilities in Newcastle and the Central Coast and feels strongly for improving the nutrition quality for aged care residents by supporting facilities to optimise their food service. Morgan works with collaboratively with individuals, facility staff and food service teams when assessing the facilities’ menus. She is a firm believer in the food first approach and is passionate about improving nutrition within our aged care sector. Morgan Boughton is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a proud member of the Optimum Intake team. She graduated from the University of Newcastle with Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours).
