Warm and down to earth mental health Counselling for women. Nina has a passion for helping clients recover their sense of confidence and vitality and uses a ‘whole-person’ approach to counselling, with a deep understanding of the ways structural factors - such as our identities, connections, coping skills, or the health of our bodies - can impact on our wellbeing. Nina has a special interest in supporting clients with chronic and invisible illness such as chronic pain and fibromyalgia, and is an experienced oncology counsellor. Nina is also passionate about supporting the healing of adult children of parents with a mental illness.
Drawing from a toolkit of evidence-based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self Compassion (MSC), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed practice (with a special interest in DBT), Nina's approach highlights skills and strategies that support real change.
In a session your needs and preferences are our guide to making counselling work for you as we unpack recent experiences, untangle long-standing concerns, or practice skills to help transform difficult internal experiences and manage big emotions. Visit www.ninagreencounselling.com for more info, to book an appointment or an initial, free 15-minute call.
