Professional Experience: - Co-morbid Substance Use and Mental Health: Melissa has a background in treating individuals presenting with the dual challenges of substance use and mental health issues. Melissa's experience in the addiction field includes supporting families impacted by another's substance use. Melissa is also a facilitator in the Matrix Program which is a non-residential addiction treatment program run by Ashcliffe Psychology. - Adults and Couples Therapy: Melissa has a strong background in working with individuals and couples, in managing relationship issues and mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression. - General Mental Health and Wellbeing: Melissa's area of practice includes addressing sleep disruption, interpersonal conflict and workplace stress. Melissa works from a client centred approach towards empowering her clients' to make the choices they need to improve their quality of life and psychological resilience. - Work with Children and Adolescents: Melissa’s experience in education, private, and disability sectors is marked by her commitment to promoting resilience and connectedness among young individuals and their families.
