Overview

Ms Katiana Shaw Registered Psychologist: BSc(Comm), MHSSH, GradDipPsych, BAPsych (Hons), MPsych(Forensic), MAPS, Forensic Psychology Registrar Katiana holds several degrees in science and psychology, and is a qualified Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). She holds membership with the Australian Psychologist Society (APS) and is currently pursuing endorsement in Forensic Psychology. Katiana has experience working in correctional centres, community-based offender services, research settings, and private practice. Utilising a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Katiana works with adults presenting with depression, anxiety, addiction disorders, interpersonal difficulties, and personality disorders. Katiana obtained a Master of HIV, STIs and Sexual Health from the University of Sydney in 2012 and has a special interest in aiding individuals and couples to work through relationship difficulties, sexual dysfunctions, sexually transmitted infections, and concerns relating to sexuality. She has experience in addressing low sexual desire, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, genito-pelvic pain disorder, intimate relationship conflict, and infidelity. Katiana has a warm and open-minded approach to ensure a safe and validating space to discuss sensitive topics. Katiana is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals to improve their overall wellbeing. Katiana works with individuals in their late teenage years to late adulthood.
