I am a clinical psychotherapist specialising in trauma, anxiety, depression and relational difficulties. My approach integrates contemporary therapeutic methods with deep understanding of how early experiences shape our present-day challenges. I have advanced training in several evidence-based modalities, including Somatic Experiencing®, EMDR, Brainspotting, and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), with a strong focus on attachment-based work.
With over two decades of experience in mental health, I've had the privilege of working across diverse clinical settings, from acute hospital environments to long-term therapeutic relationships. This breadth of experience, combined with my specialised training in body-based and neurobiological approaches, has deepened my understanding of how people heal and grow through different life stages and circumstances.
A significant part of my journey includes years at South Pacific Private, Australia's leading treatment center for mental health and addiction, where I served as both a therapist and the Program Director. Currently I am a faculty member at The University of Sydney, Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy Program.
I believe that as a therapist, my own growth and development are crucial to supporting others effectively. I regularly engage in personal therapy and actively pursue professional development through ongoing supervision with senior psychotherapists, exceeding 30 hours of additional training annually. My commitment to holistic wellbeing extends to regular exercise and martial arts practice, which inform my understanding of the mind-body connection in healing.
My therapeutic approach integrates traditional psychotherapy with somatic (body-based) interventions, drawing upon the latest research in neuroscience and attachment theory.
