Overview

I am a lived experience survivor of coercive control (manipulation), emotional, and financial abuse. Since 2011, I have been an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) caregiver, supporting individuals affected by the aftermath of domestic violence trauma and intergenerational gaps. This includes symptoms related to emotional and financial abuse, neglect, self-harm, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, sexual assault, bipolar disorder, OCD, and other co-occurring mental health challenges. I also continue to engage in self-healing from my own traumas. As a multilingual counsellor from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background, I work collaboratively with GPs, allied health professionals, schools, child protection services, and justice systems to deliver integrated care for vulnerable communities. I’ve had three career transformations, and in each of those, I practised in the field for a minimum of five years (Learning & Development, Vocational Education Trainer and Graphic Designer). I specialise in psychosocial assessments through storytelling and holistic health education, supporting families and caregivers. My practice integrates person-centred, family-oriented care with strengths-based and trauma-responsive approaches, fostering resilience, growth, and wellbeing for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Outside of counselling, I am a PhD candidate researching attachment and its neurological impacts on child development. I am committed to bridging clinical insight with neuroscience to inform trauma-responsive care. Passionate about understanding human behaviour, I mentor parents, educators, clinicians, and therapists. My research areas include: 1. Attachment and the relationships between teachers/parents and students/children 2. Social-emotional challenges from childhood to young adulthood 3. Emotional and co-regulation I’m also a learning and development professional with more than 15 years of experience in adult development. My work spans planning, designing, and evaluating course content across multiple sectors. Beyond content creation, I facilitate tutorials, workshops, and group sessions—online and in person—where I create safe, inclusive spaces that encourage reflection, healing, and resilience. My passion lies in helping people grow, transform, and thrive. Fluent in Hakka, Mandarin, Cantonese, English and Malay (conversational)
