Saima has completed a Bachelor of Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Saima is trained in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Saima has experience working with a diverse range of clients of all cultural groups and ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. She also has worked with children with disabilities, including intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Saima has a keen interest in working with children/ people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, ADHD, behavioural problems, childhood difficulties, phobias, low self-esteem, and anger issues.
She has worked in a range of settings, including schools, non-government organisations, charities, and private practice. She has experience working face to face, on video and telephone.
Saima enjoys spending time with family and friends and finds gardening very therapeutic.
