Registered Clinical Counsellor, passionate about empowering individuals to overcome low self-esteem, feelings of 'not good enough' and people-pleasing, to re-awaken their authentic self and find meaning and purpose in life again!
Passionate about creating a compassionate, safe, reflective space to explore what matters to you and become empowered with the self-awareness, insight, knowledge and skills to transform your life.
Using an integrative, person-centred approach, I will support you to explore the root cause of your feelings and concerns, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and rediscover your inherent worthiness. I believe that you are the expert in your life, and I am there to guide you on your journey to reconnect with who you are, what you want out of this life, and how I can support you to get there.
Over almost 4 years, I’ve supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, major life or career changes, loss of direction, grief and loss, and relationship issues, in both short and long-term therapy, to get back into life.
Draw on a range of evidence-based therapies and committed to continual professional development (currently completing training in EMDR therapy). Lived experience has informed my therapeutic work; I know what it’s like to sit in the client’s chair and the challenges we all face on this journey we call life.
Outside of counselling, I enjoy hiking in nature (rainforests and waterfalls), baking, and dancing to music. I also enjoy discovering local markets and talking to people about what they do; I believe that we all have unique gifts to share with the world, sometimes we just need a little help to uncover them. Authenticity, curiosity, honesty, kindness, humility, open-mindedness and respect are some important values I seek to live by.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your path to personal growth and wellbeing, guided by your values and intuition, in order to rediscover your sense of identity, meaning and purpose in life.
