Overview

I seek to help people understand and integrate their story, and develop more self-compassion for self and others. My approach is to help people to firstly be in the best biological shape. We will work on breathing techniques, sleep, exercise, diet and understand any medical conditions. Once you start to improve biologically, we will explore your story further. We will understand your recent stress and traumas, and any childhood trauma, as these experiences often shape how we see ourselves and see the world. My main approach is to use EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to process your negative life experiences and/or past trauma. This approach will help integrate and process old thinking patterns that were probably helpful at some stage of your life. We will link some of these thinking patterns with your somatic/physiological sensations and emotions that are preventing you from moving forward with your life. I am passionate about treating people who have experienced trauma, particularly those who have experienced trauma during adulthood and childhood, including trauma that occurs within relationships.
