Harrish is an experienced counsellor who is passionate about helping his clients live their best life. He has a gentle and calming presence and creates a safe space for people to explore their lives and express themselves. He has successfully used evidenced based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focussed Therapy to help clients overcome issues such as anxiety, low self-worth, depression, and relationship difficulties. He has a special interest in helping people understand how their childhood experiences impact their current beliefs about themselves and their relationships.
He uses strategies from Schema Therapy to help clients break old habitual patterns and beliefs. He is also experienced in using EMDR to help clients with PTSD symptoms. Harrish has worked in community counselling program for people experiencing suicidal thoughts and self-harming behaviours. Through this experience he has observed how trauma, negative beliefs, unexpressed and unresolved painful feelings lead to mental distress. He is also experienced in working with teenagers and young adults. Harrish approaches therapy with sincerity, and values people’s unique strengths and limitations. He recognises the importance of meeting people wherever they are at and approaches clients with respect, compassion, and complete acceptance.
