Overview

Eric is a highly skilled and compassionate Psychologist with over two decades of experience supporting individuals through significant life challenges. With a foundation of more than 20 years in counselling and 7 years practicing as a Registered Psychologist, he brings a depth of insight, steadiness, and genuine care to his work. His approach is grounded in the belief that seeking support is a courageous step, and that everyone deserves a safe, respectful space to be heard, understood, and supported. Eric works primarily with adults and has extensive experience across diverse communities, identities, and presentations. He is known for his calm, warm, and non-judgemental presence, meeting each person where they are and moving at a pace that honours their needs. His practice is holistic and collaborative, focusing not only on reducing distress but also on strengthening one’s sense of meaning, self-connection, and emotional wellbeing. Eric brings a thoughtful, considered approach that helps clients feel comfortable, validated, and empowered in their therapeutic journey. Across his career in not-for-profit and community sectors, Eric has supported some of the most vulnerable individuals in the community. His areas of expertise include trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, addictive behaviours, work-related difficulties (EAP), and complex circumstances such as elder abuse, offending behaviours, and the impacts of International Parental Child Abduction (IPCA). His breadth of experience enables him to hold space for people navigating distress, uncertainty, and change with sensitivity and clarity. Eric integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). His extensive counselling background further enhances his understanding of relational and psychodynamic processes, allowing him to connect deeply and authentically with the people he supports. He holds a Master of Counselling, a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology, a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, and a Graduate Diploma of Forensic Risk Assessment and Management. Eric is an AHPRA-registered psychologist. Please note: Due to limited availability and a focus on therapeutic work, Eric does not provide reports or letters. Clients requiring formal documentation are encouraged to seek another Psychologist within the team with expertise in this area.
