Indya is a Registered Psychologist (BPsychSc, BPsych(Hons), MProfPsych) who works with children 8+, adolescents and adults. Indy’s priority is creating a safe and comfortable space where clients can freely express themselves, exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She uses a tailored intervention for each client which could incorporate elements of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. Indy believes in taking a holistic approach with her clients, seeing them as a whole person rather than just a collection of parts. She infuses her knowledgeable professionalism with warmth, fun and positivity, as her therapy sessions aren’t just about tackling challenges; it’s also about finding moments of authentic human connection and personal growth. Indy cherishes diversity in all its expressions, affirming LGBTQIA+ identities, nurturing cultural sensitivity, and honouring neurodiversity. She enjoys working with all aspects of Mental Health including anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, relationship issues & more. Outside of Humans Being Counselling, Indy enjoys running, cycling, getting lost in a good book, spending time with her loved ones and hanging out with her two cats, Sonny and Lady.
