Overview

Alex is passionate about using Exercise as Medicine to treat and prevent chronic illness, persisting pain and injuries. She truly believes in working personally with her clients and collaboratively with their health team (GP, specialists, surgeons, physiotherapists, dietitians etc) to help them reach their desired outcome with a holistic approach to health. Alex’s key areas of interest include exercise for the management of osteoporosis and falls prevention; and lower limb musculoskeletal rehab, typically ankle injuries and knee pain. She also has completed further training in Diabetes Management with Diabetes NSW/ACT, exercise for Parkinson’s Disease with PD Warrior, Pre & Post Natal Exercise with The Women’s Health Collective, and is currently continuing her studies in Pain Science with Pain Revolution by correspondence at The University of South Australia. Being a new mum, Alex has taken a step back from seeing clients to focus on the growing Medicine in Motion team, supporting and mentoring them with the treatment of their clients. Alex loves an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors and in the ocean! You’ll find her getting up early to train at the gym, go for a run or walking her sausage dog Dash on the beach; then spending her weekends chasing a ball around the soccer field and AFL pitch!
