Mac offers a space for people to explore their experiences without judgement. His approach to therapy is collaborative, with a focus on understanding challenges in the context of lived experience and what feels important to the individual.
Mac has worked in diverse clinical settings, including university outpatient clinics, clinical research trials, private practice, outpatient pain medicine, and community health rehabilitation. He has supported individuals with lived experience of neurodivergence, health-related challenges, post-acute care and chronic health conditions (such as cardiac rehabilitation and persistent pain), stress, adjustment difficulties, mood disorders, and anxiety.
Mac also has experience in supporting clients across a wide range of intimacy and sexual health concerns, including intimacy and sexual health anxiety, navigating changes and transitions in relationships (including relationship dissatisfaction and infidelity), desire and arousal dissatisfaction (including navigating libido differences and erectile function), and orgasm dissatisfaction (i.e., anorgasmia).
Mac has an interest in working with clients experiencing sexual pain (i.e., vulvodynia, vaginismus, dyspareunia) and premature ejaculation. These are developing areas of his practice, and he is committed to offering respectful, inclusive support in these areas, drawing from his experience in chronic pain care and community health rehabilitation. Mac is passionate about offering affirming support to LGBTIQA+ individuals, people engaged in kink and non-monogamous relationships, sex workers, and those seeking sexual health education.
Mac’s practice is guided by the belief that every person has the potential to overcome challenges. He utilises evidence-based therapies, and he tailors his approach to meet the specific needs, circumstances and goals of each person.
Mac is committed to providing care that is neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, sex-positive, and welcoming of individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
