Lauren Charles (She/her)Psychologist

Lauren is a Registered Psychologist with over 19 years of experience working across education, mental health, and private practice settings in Brisbane, Darwin, Katherine, and remote Northern Territory communities. She works with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, adjustment challenges, relationship concerns, and school or work-related stress. Lauren is particularly passionate about supporting young people and families to navigate life’s challenges while building resilience, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. Lauren adopts a warm, collaborative and client-centred approach, recognising that each person brings unique strengths, experiences and goals to therapy. She strives to create a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches, Lauren tailors therapy to the individual needs of her clients. Her practice commonly integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed interventions including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
