Kirryn is a registered Psychologist who has a passion and dedication to helping people with their life struggles and mental health concerns. Kirryn creates a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental, collaborative and understanding environment with a high level of respect for her clients.
Kirryn holds qualifications in a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology Honours) and a Masters in Clinical Psychology and is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has experience in psychological assessment, treatment and interventions of a range of interpersonal, occupational and emotional difficulties across the lifespan, which she has acquired from working in hospital and private practice settings. Kirryn has worked extensively in both individual therapy and group therapy settings.
Kirryn works from a strength-based, collaborative and patient-focused framework. She incorporates an integrative lens including evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic approaches, Soultion-Focused therapy (SFT), trauma informed care, Motivational Interviewing (MI), positive psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy- Eating Disorders (CBT-E) and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM).
Kirryn’s main areas of interest includes helping adults and adolescents (16 years and older) who are struggling with a range of emotional and behavioural concerns including feeding and eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and body dysmorphic disorder), substance related and addictive disorders, trauma and stress related disorders, grief and loss, perfectionism, anxiety disorders, depression disorders, Obsessive-compulsive disorders, relationship difficulties, work related stress, bipolar disorder and parenting concerns.
