Overview

Katie is a compassionate and dedicated counsellor who offers a wide range of therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family counselling. Her practice is grounded in a holistic, client-centred approach that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each person or family she supports. With a strong academic foundation in psychology and counselling, Katie is currently completing postgraduate studies at the Master’s level in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She draws on a diverse range of therapeutic modalities in her practice, including Family Systems, Psychodynamic, Schema Therapy, Gestalt, Existential, and Person-Centred approaches. In addition, Katie incorporates evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT-Insomnia, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). Katie has a special interest in family dynamics, identity development, and personality formation. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families dealing with challenges such as low self-esteem, eating disorders, social anxiety, depression, phobias, insomnia, complex PTSD, and gender and identity dysphoria. Her work often focuses on strengthening relationships, improving communication, and fostering resilience. By combining advanced therapeutic knowledge with empathy, insight, and a deep respect for each client’s journey, Katie strives to support lasting emotional growth and improved wellbeing. She is committed to helping people live more connected, purposeful, and fulfilling lives.
