Jantina is a Provisional Psychologist who provides thoughtful, developmentally informed psychological support to children, adolescents, and adults. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by a strong understanding of attachment, trauma, and neurodevelopment.
Jantina has completed Theraplay®-based training and incorporates Theraplay-informed principles into her work with children and families. This approach emphasises safety, connection, co-regulation, and relational engagement, using structured and playful interactions to strengthen attachment and emotional regulation.
She also has experience working with EMDR-informed approaches with both adults and children, supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and adverse life events. Jantina integrates trauma-informed care thoughtfully, ensuring interventions are paced, collaborative, and tailored to the developmental and emotional needs of each client.
Jantina brings valuable international experience, having worked for five years in the Netherlands within paediatric developmental services. In this role, she supported children with a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural needs and collaborated closely with families and multidisciplinary teams. This experience has strengthened her formulation skills and her capacity to work within complex developmental and psychosocial contexts.
Jantina practises under supervision and in accordance with AHPRA requirements. She is committed to reflective practice, ongoing professional development, and providing ethical, compassionate, and person-centred care.
