Irene holds a Master Degree in Human Resources and a BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Ikon Institute of Australia. She is currently studying for a Master Degree in Social Work at Monash University.
Originally from Italy, Irene has lived in different countries, experiencing the impact different cultures and socio-economical differences might have on people's ways of being. Irene has more than a decade of expertise in the practice and teaching of Yoga. She has founded Kahuna Temple, a business dedicated to supporting the restoration of the person through bodywork and movement.
Irene offers a warm and caring presence and a very attentive listening to your unique experience. She works with both mind and body awareness. She believes in the client's intrinsic abilities to grow, inner resources and capacity to generate enduring personal changes.
She is registered with the Australia Counselling Association (ACA, 19937) and trained in a person-centred, collaborative, and trauma-informed therapy model. She has a gentle and caring approach and works collaboratively, at a pace that works for each client.
Her areas of interest include Trauma and PTSD, symptoms of depression, stress & anxiety, self-development and growth, relationship difficulties and attachment style, life transitions, isolation, grief and loss, lifestyle and existential issues.
