Ece (pronounced Ejay) is a Psychologist who is passionate about supporting adolescents and adults to improve their wellbeing and live meaningful and fulfilling lives. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, low self-esteem, stress-management, ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder, relationship challenges, grief and complex trauma. She has a particular interest in helping adults recover from traumatic and challenging life experiences so they can regain a sense of safety, confidence and balance.
Ece strives to create a genuine, trusting, and non-judgemental space where individuals feel understood and empowered to explore themselves more deeply, make sense of their experiences and develop practical skills.
Her therapeutic style is person-centred, recognising that no two people are the same and tailors therapy to each individual’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. Ece believes in working with the whole person, supporting not only symptom relief but nurturing deeper healing and growth.
Ece is a certified EMDR therapist and utilises a range of evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness and somatic practices and internal family systems (IFS).
Ece has an extensive background in community mental health, suicide crisis support and facilitating group therapy and training programs.
As a Board-approved supervisor, Ece is passionate about mentoring early career psychologists to develop their skills and confidence in practice.
