Dr Rachael Bellair is a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years experience. She is a warm, respectful and open-minded therapist, who is skilled at providing a safe and comfortable environment in which people can feel heard and understood.
Rachael has a special interest in couples therapy and relationship counselling and enjoys working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. She utilises evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches, such as the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focus Therapy (EFT), to help people enhance their relationships by improving communication and increasing physical and emotional intimacy.
Rachael works with people from the LGBTQIA+ community and also with non-traditional and diverse relationship structures (such as consensual/ethical non-monogamy (ENM/CNM) including polyamory, swinging, open relationships and kink).
Rachael is also experienced working in the areas of eating disorders, anxiety, depression and trauma. She utilises a range of evidence-based psychotherapies such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as eating disorder specific therapies, such as CBT-E, MANTRA and SSCM.
Rachael works in the practice Tuesdays, Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings (plus clinical supervision via Zoom on Wednesdays).
