Dr Maha Fayyaz Khan Psychiatrist

Dr Maha F Khan graduated as a medical doctor in 2001 and started training in Psychiatry in 2007 with North Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. She completed her higher specialist training with London Deanery under Southwest London & St George's NHS Mental Health Trust. She received membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2013 and attained her Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training in 2016. She is on GMC Specialist Register, is section 12 approved and holds Responsible Clinician status. She relocated to Australia in 2021 and since her move has managed to attain Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (Oct 2022). Dr Khan has wide experience of working in different psychiatric sub-specialties ranging from Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to Old Age Psychiatry, but she has expertise in dealing with Working-Age Adults presenting with the following psychiatric illnesses: * Depression * Generalised Anxiety Disorder * Phobias * Insomnia * Schizophrenia * Organic & Non-organic Psychosis * Drug-induced psychosis * Schizoaffective Disorder * Bipolar Disorder * Adjustment Disorder * Disorders of Adult Personality and Behaviour * Adult ADHD Assessment & Treatment Dr Khan has extensive working experience using the bio-psycho-social model, and her work with personality disorders intensive treatment team has allowed her to gain valuable experience in the psychological domain, which she uses in her routine assessments for the benefit of her patients.
