Dr Madeline Farmer is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with nine years experience in private practice. She is warm and engaging and focuses on fostering a collaborative approach, working with clients to understand their symptoms and difficulties, and providing evidence based treatments. Madeline is passionate about providing psychoeducation throughout the treatment process, to improve patients ability to apply their therapy skills after treatment is completed, thus reducing the risk of relapse.
Madeline provides treatment for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustment and trauma related disorders, low self-esteem, perfectionism, ADHD and stress. She enjoys working with adults and older adults, and provides treatment using cognitive behavioural therapy, meta-cognitive therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy informed interventions.
Madeline has a Bachelor of Science with first class Honours in psychology, and a professional doctorate of clinical psychology and clinical geropsychology from The University of Queensland. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Madeline works on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
