I aim to create a warm and supportive space where we can focus on what matters most to you. In our first session, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other, gathering information, and making sure we’re a good fit. It’s also a chance to talk about what you’d like sessions to feel like, so we can shape the process in a way that works best for you.
As therapy progresses, we’ll build on this foundation together, checking in along the way, identifying what’s showing up for you, and developing strategies to support you through challenges. I often incorporate animal assisted therapy with the support of my therapy dog (Poppy), which can be a great way to build regulation skills, support social connection, and create a calming atmosphere.
When working with children, I draw on play-based approaches to help them engage and explore their feelings in a natural way.
Outside of work, I enjoy art, puzzles, video games, running, going to the movies, and spending time with my dogs and family.
