Diyani is a registered psychologist with a Masters in Psychology and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice, and is trained in EMDR therapy. Her background includes working with young adults and adults in primary health care and tertiary education settings, in both individual and group therapy formats, and community psychology services.
Diyani works with clients experiencing a range of presenting issues including depression, life adjustment, grief and loss, managing emotions linked to chronic pain and stress management. She also has a special interest in working with anxiety disorders including health anxiety, phobias, generalised anxiety, and PTSD.
Diyani uses a range of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Mindfulness strategies, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and is a full member of the EMDR Association Australia (EMDRAA).
Diyani provides an integrative approach to therapy and a warm, supportive and collaborative environment to help clients reach their therapeutic goals and maintain good self-care with confidence.
