Danielle Collins Psychologist

Hello, my name is Danielle. I am dedicated to creating safe and accessible environments that empower individuals to enhance their understanding of themselves and achieve a greater sense of wellbeing. I earned my Bachelor of Psychological Sciences in 2021 and subsequently completed my Master of Psychology (Counselling) in 2023. I have a strong interest in working with diverse communities, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, neurodiverse individuals, and members of the LGBTQI+ community. I employ a person-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach in my practice. My primary objective is to collaborate with clients to foster self-awareness, acceptance, resilience, and to develop a personalised toolkit of skills. I have experience in conducting psychological assessments to explore a variety of diagnoses, including ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorders, and more. I take an integrative approach drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Compassion- Focused Therapy. Additionally, I am a registered Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) practitioner. As a practitioner, I recognise that everyone’s capacity to engage in therapy may vary from session to session. I aim to meet clients where they are in their journey and encourage them to take an active role in their therapy. If you feel the need to proceed at a slower pace or if a particular approach is not effective, I advocate for your needs. I find joy in employing creative therapies to ensure you gain the most from your therapeutic experience. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy collecting hobbies (mostly creative outlets like painting and embroidery) and have a passion for nature. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
