Colleen Moorhouse is a highly experienced Senior Clinical Counsellor (Level 4, ACA) and an ACA-accredited Clinical Supervisor with over a decade of expertise in counselling and supervision. She holds a Bachelor of Counselling from Notre Dame University, a Postgraduate qualification in Family and Relationship Therapy from the William Street Family Therapy Centre, and advanced training in Professional Supervision from Supervision WA. Colleen has also completed a Management and Development Program with WANADA, further enhancing her clinical leadership skills.
With extensive experience counselling individuals, couples, and families, particularly in addiction and trauma, Colleen brings a holistic, respectful, and practical approach to her work. She integrates multiple therapeutic modalities, including Client-Cantered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Gestalt, Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
As a Clinical Supervisor, Colleen is committed to a collaborative approach that prioritizes counsellor well-being, aiming to mitigate burnout and uphold ethical practice standards. She has significant experience in clinical supervision and consultancy, particularly within the Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) and Addiction sectors.
