Cindy Tran – Provisional Psychologist Days available: Monday & Wednesday Areas of special interest: Anxiety and anxiety-related concerns (including panic attacks, phobias, and social anxiety) Emotional regulation, stress management, coping skills, and sleep wellbeing Depression and adjustment difficulties (including major life transitions) Personality-related and interpersonal difficulties Neurodiversity (including ADHD and learning differences) Trauma and trauma-informed care Cindy is a warm and client-centred Provisional Psychologist who values creating a safe and supportive space where clients can feel heard, respected, and empowered. She understands that starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly for young people or adults new to the process, and works collaboratively to support self-insight, emotional growth, and meaningful change at a manageable pace. Cindy has experience working across school and clinical settings, supporting adults, adolescents, and children with anxiety and panic-related concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, neurodiversity (including ADHD, autism, and learning differences), trauma-related concerns, sleep difficulties, and challenges with adjustment and life transitions. Her work has also included neuroaffirming parenting support and involvement in developmental, cognitive, and learning assessments. Cindy enjoys working with adults and adolescents navigating emotional, relational, and life-stage challenges, and also supports children and families. Her school-based experience informs a developmentally sensitive and family-aware approach, which she brings into her work across the lifespan. She is also committed to culturally responsive practice. Her therapeutic approach is evidence-based, strengths-focused, and trauma-informed. She draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), graded exposure, emotion regulation strategies, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based approaches to support meaningful, values-aligned change.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Currently completing a Master of Clinical Psychology (ISN Psychology)
  • Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) (Monash University)
