Overview

Charlotte is a passionate psychologist with experience working with clients across the lifespan from diverse backgrounds in regional and metropolitan areas. She is committed to creating a safe collaborative space for people to explore their identities and manage their current difficulties. Charlotte utilises a holistic, trauma-informed approach, empowering clients to gain deeper understanding of themselves and their strengths to confidently manage life’s challenges and develop self-compassion. She prioritises building a strong therapeutic alliance where authenticity and curiosity is encouraged. Charlotte has a particular interest in working with clients who have experienced adversity, and she is passionate about exploring attachment patterns, sexual functioning and the mind-body connection. Charlotte is also keen to support clients in building effective communication skills, which she believes is fundamental in creating healthy relationships and emotional well-being. Charlotte finds exploring family and sociocultural systems essential to understand how views about ourselves and the world are shaped and to challenge the unhelpful patterns that impact on mental health and interpersonal relationships. Charlotte has experience supporting clients across a wide range of sexual health concerns, including sexual pain (e.g., vulvodynia, vaginismus, and dyspareunia), sexual health anxiety, pornography addiction, desire and arousal dissatisfaction (including navigating desire differences and erectile difficulties), orgasm-related difficulties (e.g., anorgasmia and orgasmic anhedonia). She also provides affirming support for LGBTIQA+ individuals, people in non-monogamous relationships, sex workers, and those seeking sexual education. Charlotte also has experience working with a range of other presentations, including mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, relationship conflict, gender and sexual identity exploration, neurodivergence, body image and self-esteem issues, and trauma-related disorders.
