Overview

Arity is compassionate and curious, and brings an understanding that our responses are shaped and amplified by our environments. She is nonjudgmental, knowing that even negative patterns are often adaptive and necessary, but that clients should be supported in their journeys to heal and thrive. In private practice and government work, Arity has worked with individuals, relationships, and groups. She has experience with neurodivergent clients, as well as clients with complex mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, and personality disorders. She has experience with relationship counselling, working from an attachment (Emotionally-Focused Therapy/EFT) standpoint whilst knowing that nontraditional relationship structures often don’t fit the mould of traditional therapy. She is sex and sex-worker positive, kink-affirming, LGBTQIA+ informed, and supportive of polyamory and other non-monogamous relationship structures. She views sex, intimacy and safe attachment as a core component of successful relationships, no matter what form they take. She has a particular interest in working with sex, intimacy, and relational challenges. Arity has lived in the United States, Canada, and Australia and enjoys exploring the wonderful new communities in which she lives and travels. In her spare time, she enjoys trivia, theatre, all things fantasy, and spoiling her ragdoll cat Winston.
