Days available: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Archna is a psychologist who has a passion for her role in improving the mental health of individuals in the community. Archna's priority is to create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and respectful environment to establish a partnership that seeks to manage the clients' symptoms to impart a greater sense of well-being and improved functionality. Archna is passionate about the mind and behaviour and believes psychoeducation is a critical aspect of changing and improving an individual's overall well-being. Archna has a keen interest in working with clients who present with experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, panic disorders, disordered eating, eating disorder pathology, obsessional disorders (e.g., obsessive-compulsive disorder), personality disorders and interpersonal relationship distress. Currently, Archna is working with children (10+ years), adolescents, young adults, adults, and older population groups. Archna deploys a collaborative, evidence-based approach to the client's concerns, implementing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy and Mindfulness-based Interventions when required. Archna completed her Doctor of Philosophy from Deakin University. Her doctorate research area was in intimate partner violence among young adults, focusing on risk and protective factors in childhood and adolescence. Besides clinical practice, Archna is an academician and has published, presented and discussed her research in various international and national journals, conferences and media. Archna teaches and supervises undergraduate and fourth-year psychology students at Monash and Deakin University.
