Nicole is a clinical psychologist who provides evidence-based client-centric interventions for a range of psychological presentations including trauma (PTSD, complex trauma/PTSD), psychosis (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder), addictions, mood disorders, stress and burnout, anxiety, chronic pain, and life transitions. She also works with athletes and professionals who need support for their wellbeing and development of mental skills to improve performance.
Applying a holistic approach to psychological intervention, Nicole draws from trauma informed and biopsychosocial frameworks while holding unconditional positive regard for the whole of the person. She integrates scientific research with individuals’ unique values, resources, vulnerabilities, and strengths.
With a background in clinical psychology and research, her areas of interests include complex mental health (particularly trauma, addictions, and psychosis), behaviour change, and performance. Nicole provides both short-term and long-term therapy to help support and empower individuals to process traumatic experiences, create meaningful change, and improve emotional wellbeing. She draws from a variety of evidence-based psychological modalities to support mental health including Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), parts work, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT, CBT for psychosis), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Mindfulness Based Therapies, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy.
