Charles is a Consultant Psychiatrist primarily based in Melbourne, Australia with a keen interest in psychotherapy, perinatal psychiatry, adolescent mental health, and trauma related disorders. After graduating from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) M.D program with Distinction, Charles has also completed Master of Psychiatry with the University of Sydney to deepen his understanding of general psychiatry. From working across hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne, Charles has had rich exposure to complex psychiatric presentations. Additionally, Charles has over 18 months of dedicated perinatal psychiatry training from workin in two of the biggest maternity hospitals in Victoria. At present, Charles' clinical practice focuses on providing holistic and evidence based treatments for not only moms but also parents affected by mental illnesses during pregnancy and in the postpartum period.

Dr Rao is a psychiatrist with over 15 years experience in the diagnosis and treatment of adults with mental health issues. He works collaboratively with patients in order to formulate a holistic, person-centered treatment plan, using a bio-psycho-social framework.
