ZANDRI BYLEVELDT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST TRANSFORMATIONAL COACH BIOGRAPHY Born and raised in South Africa, Zandri is a certified Occupational Therapist and holds an Honors Degree in Occupational Therapy (B.OTR/L) from The University of Pretoria in SA. She is registered at the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South- Africa) as well as the APHOTA (Asian-Pacific Heritage Occupational Therapy Association). Additional Training and background include: • Building Brains (An introduction into brain anatomy, function, injuries and treatment of the brain) • Hand Therapy (Introduction into hand anatomy, structures, functions, injuries, and treatment as well as splinting of any hand conditions) • Child Psychology • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) • The Angry child • Sensory Integration • In the process of certification as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the ICF Zandri has been working as an Occupational Therapist for almost 4 years. She previously worked as an OT in schools, homes, and private practices, and has also worked with adults in acute psychiatry and rehabilitation settings. She has experience working with various conditions and has completed research about brain imbalances, autism, sensory processing disorders, ADHD and other learning difficulties (dyspraxia, CDC, dysgraphia, etc), along with the treatment and management of upper limb and brain conditions. Prior to joining Concordia International School Hanoi as a Learning Support Specialist, Zandri worked as a Rehabilitation Specialist at the American Chiropractic Clinic in Hanoi. She is also working as a freelance and volunteer therapist at International Schools in Hanoi, including UNIS (United Nations International School), HIS (Hanoi International School), St Paul American School, BIS (British International School), and others. She also serves as a board member for SENIA (Special Educational Needs Inclusion Association) a newly established Association that is passionate about “advocating for and providing resources/supports for differently-abled individuals.” Zandri is passionate about providing holistic, individualized / person-centered therapy and support to individuals. She uses a strength-based, positive behavior approach. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active, and learning new skills.
