Dr Ally Marinucci

Psychologist

Ally is an Educational, Developmental and Clinical Psychologist who works with children (aged 10+), adolescents, and young adults experiencing a range of social, emotional, learning, and mental health challenges. She has experience supporting individuals presenting with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, emotional regulation difficulties, school-related challenges, and neurodevelopmental differences. Ally is passionate about supporting clients to build confidence, resilience, and meaningful wellbeing. She adopts a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach, recognising and valuing each individual's unique profile, abilities, and experiences. Ally strives to create a warm, collaborative, and empowering therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, supported, and equipped to achieve their goals. Ally uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches into her practice. She works collaboratively with clients to develop practical skills for managing emotions, navigating challenges, enhancing self-understanding, and fostering growth. Ally completed a combined Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at Monash University. Her research focused on mental health literacy and the integration of preventative mental health approaches within educational settings to better support the needs of young people. She is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) and the Australian Educational and Developmental Psychology Association (AEDPA). Ally is a Board-Approved Supervisor, and has extensive experience working in both school and clinical settings, collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams, and completing psychological assessments.
